Madeline Grace: Thirty-Four Weeks

Girl. Friend.  Chill the heck out!  You are just so proud of yourself for crawling that you think you want to move on to bigger and better things, like pulling yourself up.  In the words of Lilly,"Stop dat, Maddie!"  You've been able to stand with help for a long time, and you love putting weight on your feet, but I turned around the other day and you had pulled yourself fully up on the ottoman, and oh man did you look proud!  So now you want to try it on everything, and the process goes like this: 1. Grab onto surface (table, kid's chair, bookcase, etc) and pull yourself from a seated position onto your knees.  2. Get super excited that you've done that and pull your arms up in celebration.  3.  Have no real control of yourself in a kneeling position yet and immediately fall forward and eat it onto whatever surface you've chose.  Lovely.
Aside from all of this nonsense, you had your first Thanksgiving this week!  You tried a few of the foods, but mostly just flirted with everyone who came to celebrate with us.  That princess wave is getting much more defined--except your hand is facing yourself, so you are really just waving at you.  You had a nice long visit with your grandparents and spent at least a little time being held by someone other than me, so I'll call that a win!
