Monthly Favorites: Month 11

Clockwise from top left:

Graco My Ride 65 LX Convertible Car Seat, Coda: Lilly finally moved into her big-girl carseat this month.  I held off as long as possible, because she falls asleep in the car so often on our way home from Target, and it is so easy to just carry her in and leave her sleeping.  Any nap that I don't have to work for is a win in my book.  BUT she was definitely starting to get too big for the seat, and way too heavy to carry in it anyway, so when Tommy and I switched cars and I started driving the SUV, we switched seats.  So far, she loves it; she seems so much more comfortable and rarely fusses when I put her in it.  I remember doing a ton of research when I was pregnant, and this seat had some of the best reviews with a definitely great price point.  I don't know if their newer model is as good, but this one was highly rated all around.  I will say that it is a little big to put in the back of my Focus rear-facing, so if I was still driving that, it would be tough to fit someone comfortably in the passenger seat regularly, but in the Escape, that's not a problem.
Combi Adventure Mobile Entertainer, Black: This. thing. is. gold.  I kept putting off getting her a walker, but when her friend Jed outgrew his, his parents were sweet enough to let us borrow this one, and oh my GOSH.  Game changer.  She loves prancing around the dining room in this, so much so that we moved our dining room table all the way against the wall to get out of her way.  The tray is perfect for serving snacks, and she is contained enough in this that I can get things done without worrying where she is going to crawl.  My toes and ACL have definitely taken a beating, but it's so worth it.  Next time I will for sure buy one of these waaaay sooner.  This one in particular also has a great play console that snaps on and off, and can be locked into a jumping position for younger babies.
Playskool Busy Basics Form Fitter (Colors May Vary): Lilly is starting to discover putting things in as well as taking them out (one step closer to self-sufficient clean-up, hooray!). I have a similar toy from my own childhood, and she loves playing with it.  She is definitely not ready to figure out putting the shapes in the shape holes, but with the lid open, she loves taking everything out and putting them back in, along with holding one shape at any given time as a roadie.

Sun Maid Natural California Raisins, 32-Ounce (Pack of 4) : Raisins are her newest snack preference.  I was feeling good about giving her a slightly more filling snack, until I realized they are coming out whole in her diaper, so other than some juice, I doubt she's getting any nutrition out of them.  She loves them, though, so we'll stick with them for a while! I am always looking for snack suggestions that are baby finger friendly but not actually marketed as baby snacks, because DANG those are expensive.  Preferably something with some nutritional value, although I'm sure she would love my snack of Goldfish and chocolate chips if I'd let her!
