Monthly Favorites: Month 8

Clockwise from top left:

Hot-Kid Baby Mum-Mum Vegetable Flavor Rice Biscuit:
These were the first "snacks" we gave Lilly, and even though I think they taste like cardboard, she seems to love them!  They are perfect for on-the-go; I can give her a stick to wave around in the shopping cart and she's pretty happy for a while.  They also dissolve super quickly, so I don't ever have to worry about her choking with them.

Graco Pack N Play Playard with Bassinet, Pasadena:
We don't have this exact one, but our playpen has been clutch in corralling the little one as she starts to become more mobile.  I leave it set up right outside the bathroom, and it allows me to peek out of the shower to check on her while she plays.  Since her naps are so short, it's the only way I can really guarantee a shower each day.  Her favorite thing is if I fill a basket with random crap (socks, shoes, wooden spoons, books, etc) and set her in there with it.

Vicks Babyrub Soothing Ointment:
This was the month of all the sick, and this stuff worked wonders to help her congestion.

Simply Saline Sterile Saline Nasal Mist, Baby:
Ditto. Just a warning, though, this is not a job for one person.  It was like full-on cat wrangling to get this stuff up her nose, but once we got it, it really helped drain things out.

Fisher Price iPad Apps:
Don't judge.  We have two of the free apps, and Lilly LOVES them. We don't let her play with the iPad often, but occasionally it is a great treat to buy us a few more minutes of playtime when it's not quite naptime or we're trying to keep her occupied while the other finishes something.  At first, she just slammed her palm down onto the screen, but after a while she totally had the idea of touching the screen to make it change letters.  It is amazing to think of the technology she is going to encounter in her lifetime, and how "oldschool" our iPad and iPhones are going to seem when she grows up.
Bumbo Floor Seat and Play Tray Set, Aqua:
This was something I didn't know I needed until an experienced mommy friend gifted it to us!  I had registered for a Bumbo, but never gave the tray another thought.  We use this ALL THE TIME because we are awesome about not eating at the dining room table, or Lilly's meal schedule is often off-times from ours.  It's the perfect place to stick her to enjoy her snacks while we hang out in the living room.
