Lilly Anne: 28 Weeks

We had a busy week this week! Your highlight was certainly the hours and hours we spent at Alpha Phi, being the center of attention.  The girls just loved having you, and you loved getting passed around and playing with everyone.  We've also started trying some more purees, since your system seems to be maturing a little bit, so you've tried sweet potatoes, butternut squash, applesauce, prunes, and peas now.  You make hilarious faces every time, but usually open your mouth for more, so I guess it's a success?  This weekend I had a 24-hour type flu bug, so your daddy and grandpa helped take care of you more, but by the time I was feeling better, you were definitely having a mama's girl moment.  It took you a couple of days to get back to normal, but all you wanted to do was be held by me, and you wouldn't fall asleep without nursing.  It was a little exhausting since I was still trying to rest up to feel 100%, but it was pretty sweet.  We finally got in your 6 month appointment this week, too, and Dr. B said you are still doing great--hanging out around the 75th percentiles for everything at 27.5 inches and 16 lbs, 12 oz.  I'm excited that we don't have to go back for three months, and there's no vaccines next time.  Hooray for no shots!
