Happy New Year (2012 version)!

Two years ago, we were just the cutest little newlywed kids in our first apartment, but we were bummed to be spending New Year's Eve at home by ourselves.  We had somewhat outgrown the San Diego bar scene, and most of our good friends lived up north.  We were feeling a little lack of a social life, which helped us decide that we wanted to try to move back up north.

Fast forward two years, and we're staying again for New Year's Eve, but this time, things are a little different.

Don't worry, Tommy isn't stuck with just the small bottle of champagne...he's already had two beers and there's another one of these bottles I can't drink!  Not to mention his scotch and whiskey ice ball things from Christmas.  Trust me, he's fine.
Since we've moved back to Stockton, our social life has exploded, with old friends and new friends, and we are relishing a few days home alone by ourselves.  Last year we headed out to Tahoe, hit the casinos, and hiked 5 miles home at about 1:00 am through the woods, and we are definitely not looking for another adventure like that.

2012 was a busy year, and a TOUGH year.  I can only pray that we don't have to face a year like that again.  We've got lots of exciting adventures ahead, and we're looking forward to a joy-filled year.
